NEW HAMPSHIRE THE BEAUTIFUL
"Why did you move to New Hampshire?"
Most newcomers would answer that question with three simple words: "quality of life." This is an area where young parents want to raise their kids and then stay once the nest is empty - where neighbor knows neighbor, strong community ties develop and friendships endure. There is an unmistakable feeling of COMING HOME to the beauty of a land that overwhelms you and makes you want to live here forever.
Tucked into a corner of the northeastern United States, New Hampshire is the most mountainous of the six contiguous states that comprise New England. Shaped like a right triangle, the "Granite State" shares a boundary with the Canadian province of Quebec to the north, the winding Connecticut River and the state of Vermont to the west, the state of Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and Massachusetts to the south.
Anywhere you choose to call home in New Hampshire is just a short day trip from the city, the mountains or the ocean. The Merrimack Valley and Seacoast regions, which make up most of the southern tier, are each about an hour from the many attractions of the greater Boston area. Less than a 2-hour drive to the north are the majestic mountains of the Presidential range and the extensive waterways that form the Lakes Region.
Whatever your lifestyle, New Hampshire the Beautiful has a region to suit it!
